Clyde North Town Centre Urban Design Framework (2012)

Clyde North Town Centre Urban Design Framework (2012)

The Clyde North Urban Design Framework is a vision and needs based physical plan for the progressive and long term development of the Clyde North Town Centre and surrounds.  It rests on a set of principles concerned with place, identity, activity structure, built form, integrated access and environment.    The Plan provides a structured hierarchy of activities to achieve a highly focused, pedestrian oriented activity centre centred around a main shopping and parking street, together with a north-south pedestrian promenade.   The Town Square is the public meeting place of the Town Centre.   It is an urban destination space strategically placed close to the junction of the pedestrian promenade, main street and the Town Park.
