Roebourne Rejuvenation Strategy (2010)

Roebourne Rejuvenation Strategy (2010)

The Pilbara region is currently undergoing a massive economic transformation.  The region, with considerably less than one per cent of the national population, contributes approximately 20 per cent of Australia's trade exports.  The town of Roebourne, located on the Pilbara Coast, in Western Australia, is one of the oldest settlements between Perth and Darwin.  It has been bypassed by development and the Western Australia state government is addressing a range of problems faced by the Roebourne township.

Renaissance Planning was engaged by the Department of Housing, Western Australia to prepare an Economic Strategy Framework.  The Framework has recommended a broadly based holistic strategy that encompasses living support and social development, education projects, urban design and business development.
